Chris Spence is a father, author, filmmaker, former professional football player and educator. Throughout his career, Spence has been dedicated to improving the student experience, creating links to the community, and supporting innovation.

He is a passionate champion of public outreach, and the important role education plays in the development of individuals and the prosperity of the nation.

He has been recognized for his leadership role in working with the broader educational community to manage issues, develop policy and promote causes that benefit students and achieve measurable results.

He enjoys facilitating life-changing relationships that inspire and motivate children, youth and families to reach their potential, both as individuals and members of the Rogers Park community.

The opportunity to make tomorrow’s world better by developing leaders today is what drew Chris to Family Matters, because he believes the investments of time, energy, and resources in our local youth will pay enormous dividends in the future.
