  • 2000 Community Partners Award from DevCorp North to recognize an organization which goes above and beyond the ordinary to build collaborative activities and projects in the community.

  • 1999 Heroes in the Hood Award, sponsored by DuSable Museum, the Chicago Crusader and Continental Air Transport, for outstanding community service.

  • 1998 Thomas A. Demetrio Award, given annually by the Chicago Bar Foundation to recognize one exemplary youth tutoring and mentoring program in Chicago.

  • 1997 Ars Viva Award for Excellence for outstanding programming and management.

  • 1996 WBBM-TV Good Samaritan Award given to community organizations which help schools educate children.

  • 1996 DevCorps North Community Partner Award to the Sisters of Struggle program for community service. (Howard area clean-up project).

  • 1994 One of Six Cutting Edge Chicago Programs named by the Family Resource Coalition.
